Having a good Race in The Forge will make all the difference in your experience since it affects your combat style, progression speed, and survivability. You will get plenty of rerolls via codes, so when you do land on a particular higher-tier race, should you go ahead with it? This guide will help you make a decision. While there is no single race that is perfect for every player, some races clearly stand out depending on your goals.

Archangel is often viewed as the strongest race in The Forge, especially for advanced players. This race focuses on survivability, sustained damage, and long fights. The natural tankiness and defensive bonuses make Archangel incredibly reliable in difficult areas and boss battles. However, its roll chance is extremely low, but don’t worry, there are other races that can still work well.
These are the perks of this race:
Demon is a top choice for players who enjoy fast, aggressive combat. This race excels at dealing high damage and ending fights quickly. The tradeoff is lower survivability compared to tankier races. If you are confident in dodging and positioning, Demon can feel great. It’s a Mythical tier race with a 0.5% roll chance and here are its perks:
Apart from these races, the other Mythical race of Angel is great as well because it offers high mobility; however, if you’ve landed on a Legendary race of Minotaur, Dragonborn, Golem or Felynx, don’t worry because they all belong to the next-best tier. For solo players who are just starting out, it’s best to roll for a Legendary and get started.

Dragonborn provides an overall boost to your character, whereas Minotaur and Golem are more tanky – check the stats on the left side of the screen in-game and if it matches your playstyle, go ahead, otherwise, reroll for another Legendary or above Race in The Forge.
